Dabur Honey - Stay Fit, Feel Young

Category : , ,

There is a saying that we've been studying from our childhood and that is "Health is Wealth". But when we were forced to study this in school, we didn't care much but today, when I am a mother myself, I absolutely understand what this means. Health is indeed the most important in one's lives. We are what we eat. Hence, we must eat healthy to stay healthy.

We are living in an era where everything is super fast and governed electronically. Every individual is forced to work for more than 8 hours a day and there is no time for anything else. Hence, we are all looking for quick/fast solutions without any fear of the repercussions.

Let's review the life of a normal working person these days. He gets up in the morning, takes a shower, gets dressed for work, runs down to a coffee house near by, grabs a coffee and a muffin, takes a cab/train/car and reaches work. Once its lunch time, he runs to a deli or a food court nearby, grabs a sandwich/pre-packaged lunch/sugary packaged yogurt and a bottled water/ bottled sugary juice and goes back to work. Post lunch, he then again grabs a coffee from a vending machine at work and continues work. When its time to go back home, its almost night time. He goes home, takes a shower, changes to some comfortable home wear, opens his freezer, heats his packaged meal and has it with a cold beer/wine and goes to bed.

If one continues to follow this routine, post the age of 40, don't you think all his earnings will slowly be eaten up by his hospital bills? Will he be happy? This is a classic example of "Garbage In, Garbage Out".

Let me now state the daily routine of my dad. From the day I have known him, he gets up early in the morning, drinks one glass water, then does his morning exercise, then has a glass of milk/tea with his morning newspaper. Then has his shower and has a healthy home cooked breakfast. He then goes to work and for lunch, he would have a healthy home cooked packed lunch box along with boiled water which he used to carry from home. During snack time, he would have fresh fruits and he would ensure he is back home by 6pm everyday. He would then take a shower and would do his evening yoga. Then, dinner time would be a light homecooked meal. He would then drink one glass warm milk and ready to sleep by 10pm max. Today, he is retired and till now I have never known him visit a doctor for any serious issues (touch wood). Now that he has crossed 60 years, he has some issues but still he is healthy and he does a great job on his own without anybody's support.

These days, there is a lot of stress on using organic food, drinking lots of water, importance on doing yoga everyday, eating fresh fruits, drinking fresh fruit juice, eating freshly prepared food, avoid packaged food as it has lot of sodium and fat etcetera. Similarly, there is a lot of stress on substituting sugar with natural sweeteners like honey.

Honey is an ingredient which has numerous health benefits and I am sure every individual is aware of it. We just have to find a way to incorporate it into our lives.

One of the most trusted brands in India – Dabur has launched their product Dabur Honey and is stressing on the Honey Diet which has been designed to provide a healthy lifestyle to everybody. For example, as per the Honey Diet, in-order to give ourselves a healthy start, lets start our day with a spoonful of Dabur Honey with a glass of warm water. This will cleanse our system and will also help with weight management.

To conclude, it's up to every individual to choose what kind of life style he/she wants to adopt and what kind of retired life he/she wishes to live. I hope we all make the right choice. Stay fit, Feel Young.
