Pumpkin Soup for Kids

Ingredients:

  1. Pumpkin - 1 Cup
  2. Carrot- 1/4 Cup
  3. Onion - 1/4 Cup
  4. Yellow Split Lentils - 1/4 Cup
  5. Garlic -1 clove
  6. Whole black pepper - 6
  7. Whipped Cream - 2 tsp
  8. Italian Seasoning Mix - 1/2 tsp
  9. Water - 2 cups
  10. Butter - 1 tsp
  11. Salt - to taste
Preparation Steps:
  1. Chop the pumpkin, carrot and onion into smaller chunks.
  2. Put the chopped veggies, garlic, lentil, whole black pepper and water in a pressure cooker.
  3. Cook until 6-7 whistles or about 10mins on high flame.
  4. Let it cool.
  5. Pour the mixture in a blender and grind to a smooth paste.
  6. Heat a pot on high flame.
  7. Melt little butter and pour the blended paste in the pot. 
  8. Add the whipped cream or milk. Add more water if required.
  9. Add some italian seasoning
  10. Turn off the stove once the mixture is about to boil.
  11. Serve hot and enjoy.
